Do I need a phone number?

No. The phone field says Optional · 10 digits.

Can I use a personal email?

The form says Work or Personal Email, so either is accepted.

What happens to me when I create a workspace?

You become its owner and its Super Admin.

How long is the verification code valid?

Ten minutes.

Can I join a workspace instead of creating one?

Yes. On the How would you like to get started? screen, choose Join with Code or Search Workspace. With a code you are in as soon as your email is verified. With a search an administrator has to approve you first. See Join with a code and Search and join.

Can I change the workspace's details later?

Yes. The form says You can update these details later in Settings.
