What you can do in the News feed
Who can use thisMembers and Super Admins
This article is written for Member and Super Admin. Use the role switch at the top to change what the menus show.
Your administrator controls what each role can do in the News feed. If a button is missing or greyed out, you do not hold that permission.
| If you want to… | You need |
|---|---|
| See the feed, posts and comments | View feed posts and comments |
| Write a post, a comment or a reply | Create posts |
| Change your own posts and comments | Edit own posts and comments |
| Remove your own posts and comments | Delete (archive) own posts and comments |
| Review or remove anyone's post | Moderate any post: approve / reject / hard delete |
| Post as the workspace or company | Post content as the workspace or company |
| Post as your department | Post content as the department |
The Member role in this workspace
As checked, the Member profile holds 4 of 7 News feed permissions: view, create, edit own and delete own. Moderating posts, posting as the workspace and posting as a department are off. So a Member can write, react and manage their own posts, but cannot post on the workspace's behalf.
Defaults can differ between workspaces, so check Directory → Profiles for your own. See Setting News feed permissions for each role.
