Setting News feed permissions for each role

Who can use thisSuper Admins only

You set News feed permissions in Directory → Profiles, the same way as for Drive. See Setting Drive permissions for each role for the general steps.

Open Directory → Profiles, choose Member, and pick News Feed in the module list.

On this screen
- Count – News Feed 4/7: four of seven permissions are on.
- On – Create posts, Delete (archive) own posts and comments, Edit own posts and comments (shown in blue).
- Off – Moderate any post: approve / reject / hard delete and Post content as … switches are grey.
- Technical names – each switch has its key under the name, for example feed:create.

On this screen
- Post content as the department – off (feed:post_as_department).
- View feed posts and comments – on (feed:view). Without it a person cannot see the feed.
- Turn a switch on or off to change what everyone with this profile can do. It saves as you toggle.
