Do I have to use Chat?

No. Chat is optional. The Welcome window lets you skip it and keep using the rest of inLynk.

Who can find me?

Once you accept, you are discoverable in the Instavc messaging directory, including to people at other companies who use it. Your name, email and profile photo are shared with that directory. See Turn on Chat.

What happens if I turn Chat off later?

Your directory entry stays. Turning messaging off stops inLynk using it, but does not delete it.

Are messages private?

Each chat shows the notice Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Only people in this chat can read, listen to, or share them.

Can I attach files?

Yes: files, photos, videos and audio, with the paper-clip. See Send messages, photos and files.

What is a broadcast?

One message sent to many people. Each person gets it as a normal private message and cannot see the others. See Send a broadcast.

Does Chat need a permission?

No. Everyone can use it. See Who can use Chat.
