Reply, react and manage a message

Who can use thisMembers and Super Admins

Press and hold any message to open its menu.

Press and hold a text message.

On this screen
- React – add an emoji reaction.
- Reply – answer this message, with the original quoted.
- Forward – an entry for sending the message on.
- Select – an entry for choosing messages.
- Add to task – an entry that links a message to a task.
- Copy – copy the text.
- Star and Pin – two more entries.
- Delete – in red.
A photo message has the same menu, with Download where a text message has Copy.

- Download – saves the picture to your device.

React with an emoji

Tap React. A row of emojis opens.

- Reaction – a 👍 sits under the photo's bubble.
- Chat list – the latest line reads You reacted 👍 to a message.

Tap Reply. A quote bar appears above the box.
Replying to a message
On this screen
- Quote bar – a green edge with You and the text of the message you are answering.
- × – on the right of the bar cancels the reply.
- Box – type your answer, then tap the send arrow.
Send it. Your answer shows the original quoted above it.

- Quoted message – in a box with a coloured edge.
- Your answer – under it, with the time.

Not tested: Forward, Select, Add to task, Star, Pin and Delete are shown here as menu entries only.

The other person sees the quote above your answer, and your reaction under the message. See Chat at a glance.
