How to start a chat

Who can use thisMembers and Super Admins

You start a one-to-one chat from the New chat list, which shows everyone you can reach.

In Chats, tap the blue + button (or New chat on the right).

- Heading – New chat, with a back arrow and a search icon at the right.
- Chips – My workspace, Network, All workspaces and Global widen or narrow who you see. My workspace is selected to begin with.
- New group and New broadcast – two shortcuts at the top of the list.
- Contacts – each with a name and an email address. Tap one to open a chat with them.

- Header – the person's name and Offline or online, with call and video-call buttons, ⋮ and ×.
- Notice – Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Only people in this chat can read, listen to, or share them.
- Box at the bottom – an emoji button, Type here…, a paper-clip and a microphone.

If there is nobody in the list

People only appear once they have turned on messaging.
