A task moves through these statuses. You see the current one at the top of the task's conversation in the Inbox.
| Status | What it means | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Proposed | Sent to someone and waiting for their answer. | They accept, negotiate or decline. If they do not answer in the response window, it expires. |
| Negotiating | One side asked for different hours or a different deadline. | The other side accepts, counters or withdraws. |
| Agreed | Both hours and deadline are accepted and the days are blocked. | The person starts the work. |
| In progress | The work has started. | They mark it complete. |
| Completed | The person says it is finished. | The person who assigned it confirms it, or sends it back. |
| Confirmed | The assigner accepted the result. | Final. |
| Declined | The person refused, with a reason. | The assigner can reassign it. |
| Withdrawn | The assigner pulled the proposal back. | The assigner can reassign it. |
| Expired | Nobody answered in time. | The assigner can reassign it. |
A task you create for yourself starts as Agreed and goes To Do, then In Progress, then Completed.
