The item menu

Permission you need

View files and folders

Set by your workspace admin. If you cannot do this, ask them for access.

Every file and folder has a three-dot menu (⋮) with the things you can do to it. The same menu is on folders and on files.

On any card, tap the ⋮ at the right of its name. The menu opens next to it. This is a folder's menu:

- Properties – shows the item's details.
- Share › – opens sharing; the arrow means it has sub-options.
- Copy Permalink – copies a link to the item.
- Move – move it to another folder. A small Z shortcut hint appears on the right on desktop.
- Copy To… – make a copy in another folder (shortcut hint C).
- Download – save it to your device (shortcut hint ⌘S).
- Rename, Add to favourite and Zip – the next three entries.
- Move to Trash – in red at the bottom, because it removes the item from your drive (you can restore it).
A file has exactly the same menu.

- The menu opens beside the file card and lists the same ten actions, from Properties to Move to Trash.
- Items you cannot use are hidden or greyed out. Which ones depends on your permissions; see What you can do.
